Bruthen

Bruthen is a small country town, located some 310kms east of Melbourne on the Omeo Highway/Great Alpine Road and a major East Gippsland / Gippsland Lakes tourist feature.

Situated in the Tambo River valley (where the mountains meet the plains), the town is a gateway to the snowfields and the Snowy mountain country to the north.

Bruthen itself boasts natural attractions such as clean, freshwater waterholes for a refreshing swim and the Fairy Dell Scenic Reserve - a rainforest on the outskirts of town.

Bruthen is central to all sports and recreational activities which include: fishing, snow & water skiing, surfing, bushwalking and 4 wheel-driving - all within a short distance in any direction. It is the ideal base for your East Gippsland touring holiday.
